Zenith Bank is gearing up for the second edition of its tech expo with a special focus on technological innovations such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, machine learning, blockchain, robotics, big data, fintech, augmented reality, data analytics, 5G and communications. technologies, among others.
This year’s Zenith Tech Fair is themed “Future Forward 2.0” and will be held on November 22 and 23, 2022. The fair takes a template from the Consumer Electronics Show and EmTech Asia as it brings together experts, professionals, regulators, operators and specialists. how technology consumers interact for the future of the industry.
The two-day fair will feature a welcome speech by Jim Ovian, Founder and Chairman of Zenith Bank and an opening speech by Ebenezer Onyeagwu, Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nigerian Banks. Brett King, renowned futurist, bestselling author, award-winning speaker, founder of Moven and author of Bank 4.0, will deliver the keynote address, “The Future of Banking: A Digital Transformation Journey.”
Other prominent IT practitioners representing top global brands will make presentations. These include Tarik Alatovic, senior partner of McKinsey; Juliet Ehimuan, Director, West Africa, Google; Ola Williams, country manager, Microsoft Inc.; Andrew Waboi, Vice President/Head of Visa West Africa; Rakiya Mohammed, Director, Information Technology, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN); Chris Lu, Managing Director, Huawei Technologies Nigeria; and Adaora Umeoji, Deputy Managing Director, Zenith Bank Plc.
Three panel discussions will be held at the exhibition. The first panel, which will explore “The Future of Payments: What’s Next and How Do We Get There”, is hosted by Professor Yinka David West of the Lagos Business School with four panelists including Agada Apochi, MD, UPSL; Olu Akanmu, MD of Opay; Premier Oiwoh, MD of NIBBS; and Kari Tukur, vice president and head of products, East/West Africa, MasterCard.

The second panel “What are the main challenges of digital transformation in the financial industry?” will investigate the topic. How should we solve them?’. It will be hosted by Brett King and features four panelists including Tosin Eniolor, MD of TeamApt; Obi Emetarom, Appzone MD; Babatunde Obrimah, COO at FintechNGR; and Olugbenga Agboola, Founder/CEO of Flutterwave.
The third panel discussion is titled “Managing the Global Trade Revolution with Technology: Current Transformational Trends.” Hosted by Ourpass founder/CEO Samuel Eze, the panel features five panelists including Mike Ogbalu III, MD, PAPSS; Akeem Lawal, Branch Manager, Interswitch; Massimiliano Spalazzi, Country Manager at Jumia; and Ozoemena Nnaji, director of trade and exchange, CBN.
