Yan Zhiwen, 45, shot to death on a scooter delivering food in Forest Hills, Queens

NEW YORK — Yan Zhiwen, a food delivery man, was shot to death while riding his scooter Saturday night in Queens.

It happened near 108th Street and 67th Drive in Forest Hills around 9:30 p.m., hours after Mayor Eric Adams met with NYPD precinct commanders to deal with rising crime.

Surveillance video, which neighbors shared with CBS2, showed a gunman shooting Zhiwen at near-point-blank range at the intersection after he left an apartment complex.

Zhiwen, 45, was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital.

Zhiwen worked for a nearby Chinese restaurant, Great Wall, for more than a decade, neighbors told CBS2. She leaves three children.

No arrests have been made.
