Updated June 29 a 8:fifty p.meter.: The Nipissing West OPP has reported on Twitter that it has reopened Highway 17 near Sturgeon Falls.
Officers were dispatched to a collision east of Landfill Site Road early this afternoon. The roadway was closed for about seven hours, from about 1:30 p.m. to about 8:45 p.m., with no detour available.
No details have been released tonight with additional information about the incident.

Nipissing West OPP dispatched officers after receiving a call for service around 1:31 pm on June 29.
OPP, West Nipissing Fire Department and Nipissing West District Paramedic Services responded to the accident.
No details about the nature of the incident or injuries have been provided.
“The highway will be closed in both directions during the investigation and there are no detours in place at this time.”
