Three people were injured when a fire broke out early Wednesday in a college residence hall at a Texas university, authorities said.
The fire occurred shortly before 6 a.m. in a student housing building at Prairie View A&M University, about 45 miles northwest of Houston.
The school said the dorm was evacuated and all residents accounted for.
The university said three injuries were reported, but did not provide details.
Firefighters told Houston television station KTRK that the fire appeared to be contained to a third-floor hallway.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
