Two people were killed and another seriously injured in a crash on the westbound 92 Freeway just east of Foster City Boulevard on Friday morning, authorities said.
Around 9:44 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received a call that a silver Ford Fusion had swerved to the right for “unknown reasons,” Officer Art Montiel said. The vehicle then headed onto the right shoulder where it collided with the rear of a parked Volvo Big Rig truck and came to rest in a ditch.
The driver and rear passenger died at the scene and the right front passenger was transported to Stanford University Hospital.
It is unknown if the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
