The NYPD says a shooting in broad daylight occurred on a New York street. Two men wanted for questioning.

STATEN ISLAND, NY — New York police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two men wanted for questioning after they exchanged gunfire on a New York street Tuesday.

At 12:30 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired outside 194-05 Linden Boulevard in Queens.

One of the suspects was walking down Linden Boulevard when he encountered two other people. He then went behind a parked white SUV, pulled out a gun and opened fire, surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows. Another individual fired shots before fleeing, the video shows. One individual briefly returned to retrieve belongings he had dropped while gunfire was exchanged.

One individual fled in a silver Honda Accord, while the other suspect fled in a black Acura 4-door sedan with two other people, police said.

The white SUV seen in the video sustained gunshot damage, police said.

No injuries were reported in connection with this incident.
