The Bundesliga star midfielder has finally decided to move to Liverpool after his recent comments

Amid recent revelations about his future, RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer has said Laimer could be open to a move to Liverpool.

According to SportBILD, the “red-blacks” are still negotiating a contract with the 25-year-old player.

However, the player recently spoke to Sky Sports Austria and may have confirmed his potential next club.

“Nothing has been decided and nothing has been ruled out,” Laimer said when asked about his future.

SportBILD claim Chelsea have been rejected by the Austria international, leaving Jurgen Klopp’s side in the race to sign him alongside Bayern Munich.

Laimer could sign an initial contract with foreign clubs from January as his contract expires at the end of the current campaign. As a result, “reds” benefit from it.

The 25-year-old has not played much this season due to a synasmotic ligament injury.

Despite this, he played a remarkable total of 244 games for Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig, in addition to winning 24 caps for Austria.

Laimer would be a valuable addition to Klopp’s starting line-up as a true business man in the middle of the pitch.

With his club’s official website hailing him as a “tireless runner” for covering every blade of grass on the pitch, it makes sense to see the Bundesliga website refer to him as “the N’Golo Kante of Austria”.

The Reds are available to negotiate a pre-contract in January and can acquire his services for free. Even if he seems to prefer a summer move to Bayern Munich, they could send in a cash offer during the winter window which Leipzig will accept.
