Texas man attacked by ‘thousands’ of bees on Monday

The Snyder Volunteer Fire Department responded to the bee attack in the 2700 block of 37th Street around 11:00 a.m.

Firefighters, who successfully removed the hive, posted photos and videos on social media, saying there were thousands of bees inside that were acting “particularly aggressive” and could still be swarming the area.

It is currently unknown whether the bees are Africanized and it is also unknown to what extent the victim of the bee attack was injured.

“Many people are allergic to bee stings and even one can be fatal,” explains the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department. “We urge you to take action if you become aware of swarms or hives on your property.”
