Standard Chartered Bank celebrates 150 years in the Philippines

Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) recently celebrated 150c Jubilee in the Philippines with an unforgettable Filipino-themed dinner event at Shangri-La The Fort in Taguig City to honor bank customers and partners and honor Filipino culture and heritage.

The event showcased the best of Filipino-Spanish cuisine prepared by Asia’s top female chef Margarita Fores and Shangri-La The Fort’s executive chef Joris Rycken, as well as the best of Original Pilipino Music performed by multi-awarded singer-songwriter Gary Valenciano. -directed by Gab Valenciano.

Bank customers and partners raised their glasses to celebrate Standard Chartered Bank’s anniversary as the oldest international bank.

A solemn toast to the long and deep history of the bank was held with the participation of SCB Philippines CEO Lynette Ortiz, Finance Department Secretary Benjamin Diokno, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Felipe Medalla, British Ambassador to the Philippines Laure Beaufils, Linda Monetary Board Member. Aquino, SCB ASEAN Cluster Head Andrew Chia and CCIB Asia Regional Head of Client Coverage Heidi Toribio.

The event featured the best of OPM performed by multi-award winning singer-songwriter Gary Valenciano.

The sumptuous cocktails and dinner are carefully prepared by Margarita Fores, Asia’s Best Female Chef 2016, and Joris Rycken, Executive Chef of Shangri-La The Fort.
