Public and Catholic school teachers in NSW and ACT to strike on June 30

Teachers in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory are going on strike on June 30.

Both public and Catholic school teachers will walk off the job and unite for the first time in industrial action.

Mark Northam, secretary of the NSW/ACT branch of the Independent Education Union of Australia, spoke to Sky News Australia about the issue.

“I think the situation in NSW and ACT in systemic schools is so dire that it brought the two unions together,” Northam said.
