The January 6 select committee public hearings are investigating the causes of the attack on the Capitol building in Washington DC last year.
During the investigation, questions have been raised about what role militias and other right-wing groups may have had in planning and coordinating the unrest.
One of those groups are the so-called Proud Boys.
Prosecutors have described them as the main organizers of the January 6 mob and several top members have been arrested and charged with seditious conspiracy.
We had rare access to the group’s president, Enrique Tarrio, in February 2021, who insisted that the Proud Boys “did not coordinate to storm the capital.”
