Powerball jackpot grows to $27 million

Saturday night’s Powerball drawing did not yield a grand prize winner for the estimated $20 million jackpot with a $12 million cash option. The next drawing, which will take place on Monday, will see the jackpot grow to $27 million, with a cash value of $16.1 million.

The drawing comes after a player from Arizona won Wednesday’s $473.1 million jackpot with a cash value of $283.3 million. The winner has not yet come forward to claim the prize from him.

The winning lottery numbers drawn on Saturday April 30 were 14, 21, 37, 44 and 63, with a red Powerball of 1. The Power Play was 3X.

Despite the lack of grand prize winners, two players became instant millionaires after the last draw. One ticket from New Jersey and one from Pennsylvania made it to Match 5, earning $1 million each.

Ticket holders could have won $2 million each if they matched five Power Play numbers.

There were 12 players who matched Match 4 plus the red Powerball and won $50,000. Nine matched the Match 4 plus the red Powerball with the Power Play and won $150,000.

The rest of the evening’s monetary earnings ranged from $4 to $300. A total of 447,932 players took home prizes from the latest jackpot.

Jackpot winners must match all six numbers on their ticket to the drawn combination of six numbers. Five numbers from 1 to 69 must be selected for the white balls, and one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

There is a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball jackpot.
