Planning Proposal for a 110 Bed Senior Care Facility in Hurstville | Leader of St George & Sutherland Shire

Georges River Council is seeking community input on the Planning Proposal for 53A-59A Gloucester Road, Hurstville to enhance the existing Regis Aged Care facility on the site.

The Planning Proposal and Draft Development Control Plan seek to amend the Georges River 2021 Local Environmental Plan by allowing increased height and floor area for a senior care facility.

The proposal is for a three- to four-story, 110-bed residential senior care facility.

The council, at its October 2021 meeting, endorsed the site planning proposal to allow for an aging car residential facility with a floor space ratio of 1.6:1 and a maximum building height of 12 metres, 14 meters and 16.- meters

The Management Proposal and the Development Control Plan are currently on public display until Friday, June 3, 2022.

In addition to the Council’s Your Say page, plans can be viewed at the Clive James Kogarah Library, the Hurstville Library or the Customer Service Center at the Hurstville Civic Center.

Comments can be submitted by completing an online comment form or by completing a paper form at the council’s customer service centers and libraries.
