With an 8cm height advantage and 23cm reach advantage, the Australian enters the light heavyweight title selector as favourite.

But Ahmadov became a force to be reckoned with in 2022, putting two opponents to sleep by knockout and submission.

Since losing to Israel Adesanya in 2018, Wilkinson has gone on a five-fight winning streak.

Wilkinson is known as a striker, while Ahmadov can try to fight for the win.

“I’m really excited for this fight,” Wilkinson told Stan Sport.

“Ahmedov is a good grappler, he has decent strikes, but I think my boxing will be too strong for him and I will go for an early knockout.

“The title fight has become a bit more. It’s a world title, a championship, so there’s a bit more pressure, but I like that pressure.

“It motivates you to train a little harder every day.”

As for the $1.5 million prize, Wilkinson said she has a few ideas about what she might do with the money if she wins.

“It would mean winning the world title,” he said.

“It’s been one of my goals for about 10 years. The money is just a big bonus, a very good bonus.

“I will try to invest in a property or a house for myself.”
