A 33-year-old man will face court following an alleged dine-and-run incident in Adelaide last night.
The incident unfolded at 9:30 pm, when a man dining at a restaurant on Gouger Street attempted to leave without paying for his meal.
Video shot by a witness outside the Concubine restaurant showed staff holding the man down.
The man was able to flee the area after a fight, but staff and witnesses provided a detailed description of the man to police.
Police tracked the man through security cameras and found him a short time later on Moonta Street.
The restaurant owner said some employees were injured during the fight.
“We are sorry that the incident occurred,” the owner said in a statement.
“It was a sudden decision to try to stop it for the police as we were immensely upset that someone came in, racked up a huge bill and tried to escape.”
A Salisbury man was reported for robbery and will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.
