There are some actors who really go for it when they take on a role. They lose or gain weight, shave their heads, whatever. But marry for a role? Now that is something else. And apparently that’s what happened 30 years ago when Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder shot Bram Stoker’s Dracula and director Francis Ford Coppola brought in a real Roman priest for the wedding scene. Reeves told Esquire of their decades-long sham marriage: “We did a full shot of a marriage ceremony with real priests. Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So I guess we’re married in the eyes of God”.
