(CBS DETROIT) — Detroit police say a 4-year-old boy was shot Tuesday afternoon and is expected to make a full recovery; however, details about the shooting are still unclear.
According to DPD, a local hospital notified officers that a child was suffering from a gunshot wound around 5 a.m. Wednesday. But preliminary information suggests the shooting happened around 6:00 pm Tuesday.

Police say it’s unclear if the shooting happened in Detroit.

The boy’s family resides in Taylor and the boy was transported to various locations.
Detroit police say there is an ongoing investigation and they are searching for a crime scene in Taylor.
