Armour-Davis, who played at St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile, still had two years of eligibility because he made a redshirt as a rookie in 2018 and also had the COVID-19 waiver from the NCAA available. He was on the redshirt junior roster last season and was not among the players the team honored on Senior Day in November.

Armour-Davis was a first-time starter in 2021, earning second-team All-SEC honors from the coaches. He was hampered late in the season by a hip injury, missing games against Auburn and Georgia before returning for the Cotton Bowl. He did not play in the national championship game.

Armour-Davis joins senior Josh Jobe in the draft, meaning none of Alabama’s starting cornerbacks will return next season. Alabama played the national championship game without them, starting rookie Kool-Aid McKinstry and junior Khyree Jackson in their place. Other cornerbacks on the roster include Jahquez Robinson, Terrion Arnold and LSU transfer Eli Ricks, as well as new freshmen Trequon Fegans, Earl Little, Jr. and Antonio Kite.

Seniors entering the NFL Draft: RB Brian Robinson (Senior Bowl/eligibility exhausted), DL Phidarian Mathis (Senior Bowl), OLB Christopher Allen, CB Josh Jobe, OL Chris Owens (eligibility exhausted)

Juniors entering the NFL Draft: OT Evan Neal, WR Jameson Williams, WR John Metchie, WR Slade Bolden (junior redshirt), CB Jalyn Armour-Davis (junior redshirt)

Players not entering the NFL Draft, returning in 2022: ILB Henry To’o To’o (junior), DL DJ Dale (junior), S DeMarcco Hellams (junior), S Jordan Battle (junior), DL Byron Young (junior), OL Emil Ekiyor (junior)

Stock market players entering the transfer portal: QB Paul Tyson, WR Javon Baker, TE Jahleel Billingsley, OL Tommy Brown, ILB Jaylen Moody, ILB Shane Lee, OLB Drew Sanders, OLB King Mwikuta (Arkansas State)
