The Philadelphia Eagles released their third and final official injury report on Friday ahead of their playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Two players were deemed DOUBTFUL: Josh Sweat and Nate Herbig.
Sweat hasn’t practiced all week due to illness. Nick Sirianni said Sweat “was having abdominal pain at the start of the week, but he’s getting a little better every day.” It’s not often that Eagles players play a full workload after missing an entire week of practice. The latest example of a player missing three days of practice due to illness was Boston Scott before the New York Jets game. Scott was active for this game but only played four snaps total (one offensive, three special teams). Of course, Sweat is a more critical player in a position with less depth in a very important game. So not identical situations. It would obviously be a big loss for the Eagles if Sweat couldn’t play given he’s tied with Javon Hargrave as sack leader.
Herbig was listed as limited Wednesday and Thursday but did not practice Friday. His status deserves to be watched. If he can’t start at good guard, the Eagles are thinking of using Sua Opeta there. Jack Anderson, who only played his first NFL snaps last week, might be the best replacement behind Opeta and Landon Dickerson.
All other members of the active roster are ready to play. That includes Miles Sanders, which is good news. Nick Sirianni said there would be “no limitations” in how the team uses Sanders, but one has to wonder about the running back’s effectiveness in certain areas. What impact will Sanders’ injury have on his pass protection, pass reception and ball safety? Sanders said his recovery was at a point where “it’s good enough to play,” but he didn’t indicate he was quite 100%.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)
The Bucs ruled out No. 2 running back Ronald Jones and backup wide receiver Cyril Grayson Jr., who had six catches for 81 yards and a touchdown in Week 17.
Starting cornerbacks Carlton Davis III and Sean Murphy-Bunting are both questionable to play for. Davis was a new addition to the report on Friday; it was listed as limited with a prior issue. Something to watch out for. SMB, meanwhile, has been limited in practice all week. It could be a boost for the Eagles’ passing game if they can’t play.
The Bucs will potentially activate three key injured reserve players in Leonard Fournette, Lavonte David and Giovani Bernard.
