Rebel Wilson revealed the very simple way she lost 35 kg (77 lbs) during her “Healthy Year” in 2020.

In an interview with Apple Fitness +, the 41-year-old actress admitted that walking – rather than endless high-intensity workouts – was actually her secret weapon in losing weight.

Rebel said a doctor at a medical retreat advised her to start walking, insisting it was the “best way” for her to shed pounds.

“The doctor told me, ‘Rebel, the best way to lose unwanted body fat is to just walk,’ she explained.

“You don’t have to be at high intensity, not necessarily uphill, just a moderate one hour walk a day. And if you can do it, for you, for your body type, it is the best way to lose unwanted body fat.

Rebel grabbed headlines around the world after declaring 2020 its “Year of Health”, and has since lost around 35kg.

In May, the Fat Pizza star frankly admitted to feeling “sad” that she waited until the age of 40 to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

“Now that I know I can do it, I sometimes feel sad that I didn’t do it sooner,” she told InStyle.

Admitting that she has always been “a bit of a late developer”, Rebel said she wished she “had tried when I was 30, not 40”.

Rebel said that “anyone can walk around and drink more water and do small, consistent things that will improve their life,” and it’s never too late to start.
