Houston Spotlight at Live Nation Concert Week

What can be done with two Hamiltons and a Lincoln? That’s $25. Fill a third of your car’s gas tank, maybe? Buy a dime bag of average quality marijuana, maybe? Buy a Jumbo Jack, some Monster tacos, a couple of egg rolls, an order of onion rings, and a vanilla milkshake to consume after driving to your dealer’s apartment and smoking some of his middling weed?

There’s nothing too special about any of it; in fact, it sounds like a normal Wednesday night to some people. A better question is what can you do to make a truly memorable purchase with just $25? How much is an extraordinary concert souvenir worth? At least $25, right?

That’s why it’s actually big news and not just a rehash of the press release that Live Nation Concert Week returns this week. From May 4 through May 10, the live music giant is offering β€œ$25 All-In” tickets to nearly 3,700 concerts across North America, including many in the Houston area. The promotion gives purchasers access to $25 flat-rate tickets (taxes and fees included) to participating shows featuring touring artists from a wide range of genres.

These are 1990 prices, folks. We know this because we went through the hundreds of ticket stubs we saved from the shows we attended over the years and the last $25 face value we saw dates back to a Billy Joel show in 1990. (Joel crushed it , as it does ). Yes, we’ve seen a lot of good local and up-and-coming acts for under $250 more recently at smaller venues, but if you want to see music superstars on the cheap, check out the promotion’s qualifying events in Houston listed below. then. .
