Liberal Sen. Hollie Hughes says the Prime Minister’s comments about being “blessed” not to have children with disabilities “didn’t even register” when she watched Wednesday night’s debate.
Ms Hughes, who has a son with autism, said “there are additional challenges” in raising children with disabilities.
“There are times when you don’t feel particularly blessed,” he said.
Ms. Hughes said that anyone upset by Mr. Morrison’s comments should read the Senate Select Committee’s 400-page report on autism.
“Find something substantial to be upset about.”
