Driver claims Tesla autopilot didn’t work when he set up a barrier in Melbourne

The man was driving south on Wurundjeri Way this afternoon when his car suddenly went through a barrier.

The driver was not injured, but his car was severely damaged.

He told 9News that he had been driving less than 6km/hour on the car’s autopilot function when the vehicle suddenly began to shake and went out of control, riding a guardrail.

He said that he had owned the car and had never had a problem with the self-driving feature until now.

The impact of the crash sent one of the car’s wheels flying, leaving the car in a difficult position for firefighters to help extricate it.
