Squami may earn a reward for consistency, while a swift gallop may end Friday night’s Cranbourne meeting on a high for punters.
Herald Sun forms analyst Brad Waters runs the rule on the Friday night meeting in Cranbourne.
SQUAMI (Race 5 No.1 – $4.20)
Consistent gallop that he chased well in a similar race at Cranbourne last time. He won’t have to improve much to win on Friday night.
SINO WITNESS (Race 2 No.4 – $3.10)
He led and did a good job in second place at Wodonga and will be more fit for that. It will move forward and might be harder to run over this time.
GUSMAO (Race 4 No.5 – $2.80)
He ran skillfully and put in a lot of effort at Ballarat in his second start. Getting better with races and fees is a great opportunity to get better here.
BEAUTY (Career 8 No.5 – $5.50)
Beaudacity was an easy winner on wet ground at Cranbourne for the first time last time. He didn’t fall out behind Marine One in the spring and jumping has been good before this.
UNFAIR DISMISSAL (Race 6 No.5 – $6.50)
He struggled at OK under heavy weight here last time, but was solid in this class at Sale two races ago. It’s worth another shot on a Friday night.
Reliable jockey Daniel Stackhouse will continue his comeback from injury with four races at Cranbourne. BUT WITNESS (Race 2 No.4 – $3.10), TALLANDOON (Race 5 No.2 – $8.50), JONTY (Race 7 No.5 – $9), HE IS A GOLD DIGGER (Race 8 No.3 – $61).
