Cal Fire works to put out vegetation fire

JEWELL VALLEY, Calif. – Firefighters from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection are working to put out a fire near the US-Mexico border, officials said.

The fire, currently in Jewell Valley, is about two to three acres and is progressing at “a slow speed.” CaliforniaI fire tweeted Saturday afternoon.

A total of four tanker trucks are assisting in efforts to extinguish the fire, Cal Fire officials told FOX 5, but access to the area is limited due to the location of the fire.
