Buildings Burned as Injuries Reported Amid New Clashes in Jenin

At least 10 people were injured amid renewed clashes in Jenin on May 13, Al Jazeera reported, citing local medical sources. The Israel Defense Forces said soldiers in Jenin “acted to detain terror suspects this morning.” The soldiers were shot “recklessly and indiscriminately” by “Palestinian gunmen”, the Israeli army said. Two Palestinians surrendered, ending an hour-long standoff in the Jenin refugee camp, Haaretz said. Two Palestinians and an Israeli officer were seriously injured, they said.
