Albanese shifts funding focus to education and health

Opposition leader Anthony Albanese has pledged millions to ease the teacher shortage.

Under Labour, high-achieving high school students are expected to receive $12,000 a year if they choose to pursue a career in education.

“This is about attracting people who will become the best teachers in the profession,” said Mr. Albanese.

Mr. Albanese also announced that $400 million is being offered to expand the Flinders Medicare Center with new operating rooms and expanded medical imaging.
